Russia halts natural gas flows via Nord Stream 1 pipeline, intensifying the pressure on Europe

It’s been an along few year for Gazprom. The Russian state-owned energy company is stung by Western sanctions within the Ukraine war, and its own share of the market within Europe happens to be slipping. Gazprom has paid down Nord Stream 1’s fuel flow and has since restored ground. This is certainly due to difficulty with its technology like repairs. Europe relies greatly on Russian gas and this has established dilemmas. Leaders of European countries have raised accusations against Moscow of using gasoline interruptions to simply take retaliation against Western sanctions. Gazprom had warned in August that the pipeline that carries fuel from Russia to Germany was planned to be shut during maintenance for three consecutive times.
