Ashado is a daughter of Saint Ballado and Halo was sold as an annual yearling at the Keeneland September 2002 auction for $170,000. The Wolf’s Starlight Stable, Paul Saylor and Johns Martin owned her.

Ashado was purchased at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale at $170,000. The odds were that it could pay off quickly as she was already winning the first three races she entered.
